These terms explain the ground rules for using Sitting Out during its closed alpha. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to follow them.
Your account
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. Your account is for you; do not impersonate another person or use another member’s account.
Using Sitting Out
Use Sitting Out to find people, form groups, join events and build genuine gaming connections. Follow the Community Guidelines, respect other members’ boundaries and do not misuse profiles, messages, invitations, event tools or linked services. We may restrict, suspend or remove access where reasonably necessary to protect members, the community or the service.
Alpha service
This is evolving closed-alpha software. Features may change, be withdrawn or be temporarily unavailable, and data may occasionally need maintenance. Please report problems through Support. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our platform and brand
Sitting Out and the materials we create for it — including our software, branding, visual design and site content — belong to us or are used by us with permission. You may use them as part of the service, but that does not give you permission to copy or reuse them elsewhere without permission.
What you share
You keep ownership of the information and content you provide, including profile details, gamer identities, group notes and feedback. You give Sitting Out only the permission needed to host, display and process that content so we can run and protect the service. Only share content you have the right to share, and do not post unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing material.
Third-party services
Discord and Epic Games are separate services with their own terms and privacy practices. Linking an identity does not create an endorsement or partnership, and Sitting Out cannot guarantee those services will always be available.
