THE STORY SO FAR
It took a few tries to get here.
Sitting Out has been taking shape since 2020.
It didn’t begin as a polished platform or one continuous community. There were different Discords, different people trying to make them work, fresh starts, quieter periods and more than one version along the way.
What lasted was the idea behind it: adults wanting somewhere easier to find people to play with, come back to familiar names and enjoy gaming without all the usual nonsense.
The Sitting Out Club became the community where that idea found its footing. Some people were part of earlier chapters, others joined much later, and the membership has changed along the way.
Sitting Out today is the next step — taking what worked, learning from what didn’t and building something designed to last beyond a single Discord server.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Adult, welcoming and low-pressure.
Adults, with Fortnite first. Social, relaxed and competitive players can all belong here.
Join in your way. You do not need to be the loudest, the best player or always on mic, and you can take part as much or as little as suits you.
Clear expectations. Community boundaries, privacy controls and moderation help people understand where they stand.
